Looking for guitar courses online reveals that Learn and Master Guitar is probably the most well known software course available. It has been the best selling guitar software course for the past few years, and you will see hundreds of positive reviews online. In reality, there is no way to instantly learn the guitar. There are definitely methods that you can use that will cut down the learning curve. You can’t expect to be able to pick up a guitar and be a master it within one day.

I was not even 10 years old when I knew I had to play guitar.My guitar heroes were the Beatles and Clapton and classical Segovia.
The guitar seemed to me to be a spellbinding  instrument and I just had to learn how to play.My days and nights were filled with learning guitar.
I learned mostly from friends and records, yes records, remember them?.The internet and online learning had not come into being, these were pre-historic times indeed. Today you have so much information available to you it is  unimaginable. Sometimes, however when you have so much knowledge it is easy to stray off course from your initial objective.The best way is to have a plan, a teacher and a course in order to progress.
Although I certainly recommend teachers in general, it can be very expensive at first to waste money on the very basics of learning guitar. With your online courses, you can study when you want to and it does not cost you any extra if you want to play the same jam track over and over again. The videos that are used these days are top notch and are a valuable tool for learning.
 
I was very motivated when I started out and I taught myself a great deal. You may not be able to learn all by yourself so easily. It is very fortunate that online courses have included in them all the material to help you be the guitar hero you want to be, or simply to play for your own pleasure. You will of course try many books on your own. I hope you will try some folk guitar books as all guitar starts with basic strums and easy fingering coupled with familiar songs we all know.
The teacher can be a most important part of any learning experience, be it learning to sing or how to play piano or guitar playing. The teacher can unfortunately be not suited to your temperament or aptitude also.  If your teacher is a rocker, he may not be the one to teach you classical guitar, for example.  You can spend a whole lot of money on teachers so I would recommend, at least at first to try an online program which is about the cost of a couple of lessons. You can get a lot of mileage from it and you will know what to do next.
At first learning how to play guitar is  perplexing . The guitar is unlike piano in the respect that it is not easy to see the chord positions; the guitar has many different positions for the same chord. While just starting, all of this in combination with left and right hand techniques as well as tab and different tunings and it can very quickly become overwhelming.

As important as it is to have a good song to play in the first place, proper use of guitar technique just adds an entirely new layer to a guitarists playing.  You can play all the correct notes at the correct time, but that can sound pretty bland. Guitar playing is as much about variety as it is skill, and its important to get a feel for how certain notes can be played in the context of your song, even if its not by the book. Most of these types of techniques get labeled as “lead guitar techniques,” but the truth is that every guitarist should have these as part of their repertoire.
 There isn’t one technique mentioned here that can’t be found in a rhythm part in a number of different songs.  Even if you only play rhythm guitar for a band, it is still important to have a firm grasp of how to use these techniques.

 Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs
 Pull-offs and Hammer-ons are basically the same tchnique. If you want to play two or more notes on the same string, rather than fretting and picking each one individually, the guitarist literally sounds each note with their fretting hand and skips picking the note each time. If the note is higher up the string, then the guitarist hammers-on the new note by fretting it with enough force to sound the new note.
If the second note is further down the string then you perform a pull-off. To perform a pull-off you must use your fretting hand to to actually pluck the string, pulling you finger away to sound the note. These are very useful for rapid sequences of notes that are close together.

Bending
 Bending literally involves pushing a ringing string along a fret to change the pitch.  Doing this changes the tension on the string, and allows a smooth transition from one note to the other. Instead of fretting the notes, the guitarist moves through the microtones of the transition and can be very effective in slower bends. You can also unbend a string back to the original note for the opposite effect. This is very popular technique with a lot of lead and rhythm riffs making use of it.
 This can be a tricky a technique to pick up because there is an audible component to it. You do need to be able to hear when the string has reached the pitch you want when bending.  If you don’t hit it exactly, then the note will either sound flat or sharp depending on if you under or over bend the string. This can be a more frustrating technique to first learn, but it really makes a huge difference in your playing, and you will be very glad for the effort you put into it once you actually learn to bend the string properly.
